The challenge
The problemMany listings in Cyprus go up in Facebook groups, which have no filters and where older posts disappear quickly. The need was a marketplace that is fast on mobile, with proper categories and listing moderation.
Our solution
What we builtWe built AggeliesCY from scratch. Pages are built as static files with Next.js and React, and our own PHP 8.5 API with MySQL handles listings, accounts and messages.
- 10 categories, each with its own fields and filters
- Messages to the seller inside the platform, plus a favourites list
- New listings are checked before they go live, with easy reporting
- Store pages for businesses and listing promotion packages
- Google Analytics only with the visitor's consent
The results
The impactAggeliesCY is live at aggeliescy.com on our own server. It shows how we build a marketplace on modern technology: fast static pages, a separate API, listing moderation and messaging between users.
